Federal Board (FBISE) Honors Toppers of Matric and Inter Exams

The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) on Thursday celebrated the remarkable performance of its students in the latest matriculation and intermediate examinations conducted by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE).

A special ceremony was held at Islamabad College for Boys (ICB) G-6, attended by Federal Minister for Education Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Minister of State Wajiha Qamar, where the top 21 students were honoured for their achievements.

Presenting the results, FDE Director of Academics Riffat Jabeen shared that in the SSC-II exams, 94 percent of the 13,731 candidates passed with an overall GPA of 3.8. For HSSC-II, 81 percent of 12,078 candidates were successful, securing a GPA of 3.02. She said these results highlight the dedication and hard work of students, teachers, and parents.

In his address, Dr. Siddiqui congratulated the high achievers and underscored the role of education in shaping the country’s future. He added that the success of students is a source of pride for the entire nation and praised the contributions of female students, noting their consistent excellence when given opportunities.

Wajiha Qamar also addressed the gathering, stressing that education not only builds knowledge but also instills values, discipline, and responsibility in young people.

The Federal Education Minister commended the efforts of teachers and parents, calling them the true backbone of student success. He emphasized that such results would not be possible without their unwavering support and guidance.

Federal Secretary for Education Nadeem Mahbub also congratulated the students and reiterated the ministry’s commitment to strengthening quality education in Pakistan.

According to an FDE press release, the event concluded with an award ceremony to recognize student excellence and reaffirm the directorate’s mission to nurture future leaders and innovators.

Speaking to the media, FDE Director General Syed Junaid Akhlaq said the event was aimed at motivating students and acknowledging teachers’ efforts. He noted that the results of FDE-run schools and colleges have been steadily improving, which reflects the commitment of both students and educators. He added that the ceremony was organized on the directives of the federal and state ministers as well as the secretary of education to further encourage students to aim higher.

The ceremony was attended by Senior Joint Secretary for Education Aftab Rashid, Federal Board Chairperson Dr. Ikram Ali Malik, Executive Director of the Inter-Board Coordination Commission Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Director Colleges FDE Shahid Abbasi, along with principals, teachers, students, and parents.
