Good News for Tourists Traveling to Babusar Top and Kaghan

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have deployed the Elite Force at Babusar Top and other upper parts of Kaghan Valley to strengthen security for travelers and tourists, officials confirmed on Thursday.

District Police Officer Shafiullah Khan Gandapur said the move follows a recent ambush on a police patrol van in which two personnel were injured. He told reporters that the ongoing search and strike operation is being conducted on both the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan sides of the valley.

“The Elite Force, equipped with modern arms and ammunition, has now been deployed at Babusar Top and adjoining areas. The safety of passengers and tourists traveling between both federating units is our top priority,” the DPO said.

He added that police are already implementing a convoy system during nighttime travel, while enhanced patrols by the Elite Force will further tighten security in the region.

Meanwhile, the district administration has imposed a ban on carrying and displaying arms and ammunition. Police have been directed to ensure foolproof security for processions during Eid Miladun Nabi across the district.
