The Meteorological Department has forecast intermittent heavy rainfall in various parts of Sindh between September 7 and 10.
According to the advisory, a low-pressure weather system is likely to move into Rajasthan and adjoining areas of Sindh on September 6. As a result, rainfall is expected in Tharparkar, Umerkot, and Mirpurkhas from the evening or night of September 6 through September 9. Showers are also anticipated in Sanghar, Khairpur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Matiari, Tando Allahyar, and Tando Muhammad Khan during this period.
In Karachi, light showers may occur in some areas on September 7, while widespread thunderstorm activity with rain is likely between September 8 and 10. The department has also warned of the possibility of heavy downpours in parts of the city, which could lead to waterlogging in low-lying neighborhoods and pose a risk of urban flooding.
