Two police officials were arrested after allegedly assaulting and robbing a student in the Tibbi City area. A case has been registered against them under Section 155-C.
According to City42, the victim, Saifuddin, had gone to Khussa Bazaar for shopping when two policemen intercepted him.
The officers reportedly took him into a side street, subjected him to physical abuse, and threatened to register a case against him.
The accused officers, identified as Afzal and Nabeel, allegedly snatched Rs. 53,000 from the student before fleeing the scene.
Saifuddin later filed a complaint at the police station, after which Tibbi City Police registered a case and arrested both officials.
