New Pakistani Bike Company Enters Premium Market With 3 Models

Pakistani motorcycle brand Sothassi has entered the local market with three premium motorcycles: the Classic 400, Crossfire 500, and Cromwell 1200.

The company says it was established to bring modern motorcycle technology to Pakistan and eventually produce world-class motorcycles in the country. Its name comes from a spider-like arachnid found in Chitral, which also appears in the company’s emblem.

Sothassi is targeting the premium and high-capacity motorcycle segment rather than Pakistan’s mass-market commuter category. Its initial lineup ranges from a 397cc single-cylinder motorcycle to a flagship 1,222cc twin-cylinder model.

Sothassi Classic 400

The Classic 400 is the entry-level model in the newly introduced lineup. It is powered by a 397cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine producing 29 bhp.

The engine is air-cooled and comes with an electric starting system. Braking equipment includes a 280mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc.

It rides on a 110/90-19 front tyre and a 130/80-18 rear tyre. Its larger front wheel, single-cylinder engine, and retro styling position it as a classic road motorcycle suitable for riders moving up from smaller commuter bikes.

Sothassi Crossfire 500

The Crossfire 500 sits in the middle of the lineup and uses a 486cc, two-cylinder, four-stroke engine. The water-cooled DOHC engine has four valves per cylinder and produces 47 bhp.

Stopping power is provided by a 320mm hydraulic front disc brake and a 240mm rear disc brake. Both brakes are supported by an anti-lock braking system.

The motorcycle comes with a 120/70 ZR17 tubeless front tyre and a wider 160/60 ZR17 or 160/60 R17 tubeless rear tyre.

Sothassi is introducing the Crossfire 500 in collaboration with Austrian motorcycle brand Brixton. The company also lists electronic fuel injection, Bosch ABS, traction control, a stainless-steel exhaust, and 43Nm of torque among the motorcycle’s features.

Sothassi Cromwell 1200

The Cromwell 1200 is the largest and most powerful motorcycle in Sothassi’s initial lineup.

It is powered by a 1,222cc, water-cooled, four-stroke, inline two-cylinder engine producing 82 bhp. The motorcycle also features electric starting.

The front braking setup consists of two 310mm hydraulic disc brakes with ABS, while the rear uses a single 260mm hydraulic disc brake with ABS.

It is equipped with a 100/90 R18 front tyre and a 150/70 R17 rear tyre.

Like the Crossfire 500, the Cromwell 1200 is being introduced in collaboration with Brixton Motorcycles. Sothassi says the bike also offers electronic fuel injection, Bosch ABS, traction control, a six-speed gearbox, an anti-hopping clutch, and 108Nm of torque.

Prices and Availability

Sothassi has not yet announced official prices, booking details, or delivery timelines for the three motorcycles on its website.

The company’s arrival gives Pakistani buyers another option in the premium motorcycle segment, which has traditionally depended heavily on imported motorcycles and a limited number of officially supported high-capacity models.
