The floods have shown Pakistan’s vulnerability to climate-induced disasters, with the destruction echoing the catastrophic floods of 2022.

The government has already activated its Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Unit (RRU) to coordinate damage assessments and relief efforts in collaboration with provincial and federal authorities.

In response to the crisis, the government has evacuated 936,000 people and established 1,378 relief camps to provide immediate assistance. The focus remains on integrating climate-resilient frameworks into national development strategies to ensure both short-term relief and long-term preparedness.
