Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed Launches New Book

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has released the first volume of his new book, Life Taught Me.

The book, which consists of 35 chapters, highlights key milestones from Sheikh Mohammed’s six-decade journey in public service, offering insights into his philosophy on leadership, governance, and life. It is designed to serve as a valuable reference for both current and future generations.

In the preface, Sheikh Mohammed reflects on nearly 60 years of service to the nation, describing them as years filled with both challenges and triumphs, friendships and rivalries, personal losses and national achievements. He shared:

“In a few years, I will have completed six decades in public work. They were years in which I lost loved ones but also gained a great family, good citizens, and a country that became the focus of the world’s attention.”

He emphasized that the book was written in a simple and honest style, aiming to connect directly with people. Sheikh Mohammed acknowledged his imperfections, noting that life continuously teaches growth, resilience, and humility.

“The one constant throughout my life has been my love for my country, my people, and my family,” he said. “Allah is my witness that I dedicated myself to serving my people, ensuring they live with dignity, without ever knowingly wronging anyone or denying them their rights.”

The book underscores Sheikh Mohammed’s belief that the greatest legacy lies not in wealth or buildings, but in wisdom, knowledge, and words that inspire beyond time and borders.

Set to be available in bookstores on September 25, Life Taught Me is positioned as both a personal memoir and a leadership guide, enriching the Arab literary world while inspiring policymakers, leaders, and young people shaping the future.
