It warned that excessive use of mobile phones and social media platforms is negatively impacting students’ minds and eroding their moral values. The resolution urged the government to devise a comprehensive strategy to address what it described as a growing social challenge.

As an initial measure, the house recommended imposing a complete prohibition on mobile phone usage by students in all schools. It further called for legislation to regulate children’s access to social media accounts, stressing the need for serious policy intervention.
