RDA to Introduce Digital Payments in Rawalpindi

The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has entered into a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Financial Accounting and Budgeting System (FABS), Office of the Controller General of Accounts (CGA), to roll out the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

The agreement, signed by Additional Director General RDA Mansoor Ahmad Khan on the instructions of Director General Kinza Murtaza, seeks to bring transparency, efficiency, and digitalization to RDA’s financial operations.

Through this collaboration, all budgeting, payments, and financial transactions will be managed under the SAP ERP platform, a globally acclaimed system. The move will automate payment processes, enhance internal controls, cut down manual handling, and generate real-time financial reports to support better governance.

DG Kinza Murtaza praised the cooperation of the CGA and FABS teams, calling the MoU a milestone in RDA’s digital transformation journey. She emphasized that the initiative reflects the authority’s commitment to modern governance and financial reforms, in line with the Government of Pakistan’s vision for e-governance, transparency, and accountability.
