Across every academic stream, both regular and private, female candidates outperformed their male counterparts, continuing a consistent trend from previous years.
According to the official data:
The numbers highlight a performance gap of almost 3 percentage points between male and female students in the overall pass percentage.
Female students outperformed male students in nearly every group, particularly in commerce among private candidates, where girls had a success rate almost 20 percentage points higher. In science groups, female candidates also showed stronger performance, especially in pre-medical and general science.
