Girls VS Boys From BISE Multan 12th Class Results 2025 – Who Got Better Marks?

The 2025 Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) First Annual Examination results from the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Multan reveal a clear performance gap between male and female students. Across every academic stream, both regular and private, female candidates outperformed their male counterparts, continuing a consistent trend from previous years.

Overall Pass Percentage

According to the official data:

  • Boys (All Groups Combined): 36,321 appeared, 22,062 passed – 60.74%
  • Girls (All Groups Combined): 44,785 appeared, 33,651 passed – 75.12%
  • Combined Total: 81,106 appeared, 55,713 passed – 68.69%

The numbers highlight a performance gap of more than 14 percentage points, with girls recording a much higher pass rate than boys in Multan.

Humanities Group

  • Male: 10,512 appeared, 4,587 passed – 43.63%
  • Female: 16,743 appeared, 11,876 passed – 70.94%

Pre-Medical Group

  • Male: 5,706 appeared, 4,632 passed – 81.15%
  • Female: 12,965 appeared, 11,494 passed – 88.66%

Pre-Engineering Group

  • Male: 2,973 appeared, 2,320 passed – 78.05%
  • Female: 2,167 appeared, 1,820 passed – 84.00%

General Science Group

  • Male: 5,518 appeared, 3,351 passed – 60.73%
  • Female: 6,421 appeared, 4,764 passed – 74.17%

Commerce Group

  • Male: 636 appeared, 358 passed – 56.29%
  • Female: 786 appeared, 579 passed – 73.66%

Private Candidates Performance

Humanities Group

  • Male: 9,431 appeared, 4,023 passed – 42.65%
  • Female: 9,087 appeared, 5,169 passed – 56.87%

Pre-Medical Group

  • Male: 1,702 appeared, 942 passed – 55.35%
  • Female: 2,206 appeared, 1,481 passed – 67.14%

Pre-Engineering Group

  • Male: 599 appeared, 322 passed – 53.75%
  • Female: 390 appeared, 211 passed – 54.10%

General Science Group

  • Male: 814 appeared, 424 passed – 52.08%
  • Female: 874 appeared, 488 passed – 55.83%

Commerce Group

  • Male: 430 appeared, 193 passed – 44.88%
  • Female: 113 appeared, 69 passed – 61.06%

Gender Gap in Academic Performance

Female students significantly outperformed male students across nearly every group in the Multan Board. The most pronounced differences were seen in humanities, commerce, and science streams, where girls’ pass percentages were consistently higher. Girls’ dominance in pre-medical further highlights their academic edge across the board.
