Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has commenced production from the Soghri North Well-1 in the Soghri Block, Attock District, Punjab, the company announced on Friday.
The well has a production capacity of 14 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas and 430 barrels per day (BPD) of condensate. To ensure early monetization, OGDCL has laid an 8-inch, 14-kilometer flow line connecting the well to the Dakhni Plant for gas processing, with the processed gas now being injected into the SNGPL system.
As operator of the Soghri Exploration License with 100% working interest, OGDCL said the production start strengthens its commitment to fast-tracking new discoveries.
The company added that the move will support national energy security and contribute to sustainable development.
