Saudi Arabia Announces National Day Holiday After Historic Defense Deal With Pakistan

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Manpower and Social Development has officially declared a public holiday for the Kingdom’s 95th National Day. The holiday will be observed on Tuesday, 1st Rabi al-Thani 1447 AH, which corresponds to September 23, 2025. This holiday applies to government, private, and non-profit institutions throughout the Kingdom.

In related news, Pakistan’s Defense Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, emphasized the strength of the bilateral defense relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Speaking on Thursday, he described the Pak-Saudi Strategic Defense Agreement as a significant milestone in the history of their brotherly relations.

Asif stated, “The two brothers will stand side by side in front of the enemy, united under the shadow of Almighty God. Together, they will confront common threats, and with the unity of the Muslim Ummah, victory is assured.” He expressed confidence that both nations would remain united in the face of challenges.

The Pak-Saudi Strategic Defense Agreement is seen as a crucial step in deepening military cooperation between the two countries. The agreement strengthens their collaboration and ensures closer coordination on defense matters.

Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman also shared on social media details of a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, further solidifying the partnership.
