Live Fish Displayed on Car Bonnets in Islamabad in Idiotic Act of Animal Cruelty

A disturbing trend has emerged in the capital where live fish are being displayed on car bonnets as a form of public attraction. The practice is being called out on social media by citizens and animal welfare advocates, who describe it as cruel, inhumane, and utterly idiotic.

As seen in the video, the fish seem to be trapped inside a transparent film with some water inside for them to swim, leaving them in a very confined space without fresh water. Placing them on heated metal car hoods in Pakistan’s extreme temperatures only worsens the cruelty, inflicting additional pain on these defenseless creatures.

The car currently doing this cruel act in Islamabad is a white Suzuki Alto with license plate number BFV 544, registered in Islamabad. The video link included above even shows a brief clip of the car mechanic’s place that probably created this atrocity. If anyone recognizes the area and car, please report them to the police.

Animal rights supporters stress that even aquariums restrict the natural freedom of fish, but this public display represents far more stupidity. Those responsible for such displays have been criticized as reckless individuals who lack basic compassion and awareness.

Rights groups and lawyers are now urging immediate action from authorities. They demand that animal activists, rescuers, and legal experts unite to hold perpetrators accountable and to ensure such abuses are banned.

The incident has reignited the conversation about animal rights in Pakistan, highlighting the urgent need for stronger laws, stricter enforcement, and public awareness campaigns to prevent such senseless acts of abuse.
