Lahore is Getting Another Underground Parking Facility

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has given the green light to two major urban development initiatives aimed at improving Lahore’s infrastructure and public facilities.

As part of the plan, an underground parking facility will be built at Nasir Bagh with an estimated cost of Rs. 1.8 billion. The project is designed to ease the city’s worsening parking issues and help streamline traffic flow in the surrounding areas.

In addition, the Chief Minister approved a beautification and upgradation scheme for Tollinton Market, with a dedicated budget of Rs. 200 million. The project will focus on modernising the market’s facilities, enhancing pedestrian access, and giving the area a more attractive and organised look.

Both development proposals will now be placed before the provincial cabinet for final approval. Officials expressed confidence that these initiatives will not only enhance Lahore’s public spaces but also encourage commercial activity and improve the overall experience for residents and visitors alike. It is worth noting that earlier, six other parking facilities had also been announced for different locations across Lahore.
