Social media was abuzz today with claims that Pakistan was preparing to test an “unknown type of missile” in the Arabian Sea.
However, official sources have now confirmed that these reports are false.
False Claims Circulating Online
The speculation began after several social media accounts, including a verified defense news handle, posted that Pakistan would soon conduct a secret missile test.
The posts claimed a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) had been issued for the operation, sparking widespread attention online.
However, a standard NOTAM issued for routine naval exercises stated:
Naval ships will conduct live missile and gunnery firing practice between 0300 to 1300 UTC on 9 and 10 October 2025.
