The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced a call for research proposals under the National Research Programme for Universities (NRPU) 2025–26, inviting faculty members from universities and degree-awarding institutions across the country to submit innovative and high-quality research projects.
The NRPU is HEC’s flagship research funding initiative, designed to promote basic and applied research that addresses national challenges, contributes to scientific knowledge, and supports sustainable socio-economic development in Pakistan.
Under the 2025–26 call, research proposals can be submitted in the following domains:
