A leading German industrial and engineering firm, KSB, has announced plans to set up a large-scale factory in Pakistan.
The announcement came during a meeting between a high-level KSB delegation and Federal Minister for Board of Investment (BOI) Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, where both sides discussed bilateral economic cooperation, industrial partnerships, and new investment opportunities in Pakistan.
During the meeting, the German delegation expressed confidence in Pakistan’s investment climate, noting that KSB’s previous experience in the country had been “highly positive.” The delegation added that the company was exploring further opportunities within Pakistan’s industrial sector.
Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh welcomed the decision, highlighting Pakistan’s status as a large market of 250 million people with vast investment potential. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening trade and economic ties with Germany and invited KSB, along with other international firms, to invest in Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
The minister further noted that the Pakistan Stock Exchange had achieved historic milestones and that the overall business environment was improving rapidly. He added that KSB’s investment in the SEZs would be well-timed, given the country’s investment-friendly policies and growing economic stability.
The KSB representatives praised Pakistan’s efforts to attract foreign investment and reaffirmed the company’s intention to establish a long-term industrial partnership in the country.
Founded in 1871, KSB is one of the world’s leading engineering and industrial companies, specialising in pumps, valves, valve systems, and fluid engineering solutions. The company operates in over 60 countries worldwide.

No one trusts your claim
I stand corrected . While sbp was fiddling with figures to claim 3.04%
World bank has openly stated that Pakistan growth is lowering to 2.6%
You even disallowed any comments to hide your owner boyfriend the current fm . 😆
Typical sell outs
daily dose of exaggerated nonsense.
If KSB is already working in Pakistan, as your article states, then what is to be happy about?
We need to establish from raw material (ores) to processing to manufacturing base, with huge potential for export of finish products, instead of importing goods / raw materials & exporting unprocessed ores….
Government must support Industries and Exports, otherwise No economies can grow.
KSB already has a big factory in Hattar and they are not making enough??
If you produce quality product and give preference to your local coustomers it brings your imports bill low.
secondly quality product generates demand overseas.
This demand makes your cruncy strong.
which reduces debt burden.
Definitely low energy cost and coruption free state machinary are the key ingredients.
So industrial production and preferred local consumption is good step towards sustainable development.
Alhamdolilah
can this company compete china market.
German pencil too costly. color pencils children use in pakistan cannot afford how ksb pumps or valve prices can be affordable.
