The Deputy Director of Local Government and Community Development, Rawalpindi District, has imposed a ban on the registration of Nikah (marriage) certificates within the jurisdiction of Katchery (court complex) Rawalpindi.
According to the directive, Union Council secretaries and Nikah registrars have been instructed not to record or process any Nikah certificates within the Katchery area.
The Deputy Director further warned that strict legal action will be taken against those who violate the order. Copies of the notification have also been sent to the Director and Assistant Director for implementation and monitoring.
