In line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s Vision for Transport 2030, the Punjab Transport Department has launched a dedicated helpline — 1071 — to assist citizens with travel-related complaints and improve public transport services across the province.
Through this new facility, commuters can immediately report issues such as overcharging, driver misconduct, and service-related grievances. The initiative aims to make Punjab’s public transport system more responsive, efficient, and passenger-friendly.
According to officials, the helpline is part of the government’s broader plan to modernize transport infrastructure under the Transport 2030 Vision, which focuses on safer and smarter mobility for all.
Authorities said the new system would help ensure greater accountability among transport operators while giving citizens a direct channel to voice their concerns.
