Pakistan Embassy in UAE Honors Young Writers

A special event celebrating the literary achievements of two talented young Pakistani writers — Amna Munawar Khan and Dua Farhan — was held at the Pakistan Embassy, hosted by Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi.

During the ceremony, the Ambassador praised the authors for their creative contributions, noting that overseas Pakistani youth are a source of national pride and identity.

Amna Munawar Khan’s book, Girlhood Diaries, offers a sensitive portrayal of young girls’ emotional and social experiences, exploring their dreams, identities, and everyday struggles. The book serves as a mirror in which the modern girl seeks to understand herself.

Meanwhile, Dua Farhan’s work, The Truth Behind the Evil, presents the eternal conflict between good and evil through a philosophical lens, delving into the inner battle between light and darkness within the human spirit.

The event also featured a discussion on the themes of the books, the evolving trends in literature, and the declining culture of reading in the modern era.

Ambassador Tirmizi remarked that “these young writers are not only new voices in our literary landscape but also a true reflection of Pakistan’s intellectual strength and cultural essence.”

The ceremony concluded with the embassy presenting certificates of appreciation to both authors in recognition of their outstanding literary contributions.
