Pakistan Army Wins Gold Medal at Prestigious Global Military Competition

A Pakistan Army team has secured the gold medal at the globally renowned Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2025 in Wales, United Kingdom, marking a proud achievement for the nation and its armed forces.

The annual event, held from October 3 to 13, is widely considered one of the toughest military endurance competitions in the world. Participants are required to traverse 60 kilometers of rugged terrain within 48 hours, executing a series of tactical and specialist military tasks under simulated combat conditions.

This year’s 66th edition featured 137 teams from 36 countries. The Pakistan Army’s contingent, led by Captain Muhammad Saad, earned top honors for its “exceptional performance,” according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“Pakistan Army’s team has won the Gold Medal in Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2025 held in Wales, UK. It is indeed a proud moment for the whole nation and Pakistan Army, which is known for its professionalism and highest standards of training,” the ISPR said.

The statement added that the event “retained its demanding professional standards,” testing endurance, tactical skill, and teamwork in extreme environments.

Organized annually by the British Army since 1959, Cambrian Patrol is often described as the “Olympic Games of military patrolling”, attracting elite teams from both NATO and non-NATO countries.
