Muhammad Iqbal, a grade 22 officer of the Inland Revenue Service, has been assigned the additional charge of Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
The appointment comes as current FBR Chairman Rashid Langrial is set to proceed on ex-Pakistan leave from October 20 to 25.
During this period, Muhammad Iqbal will oversee the responsibilities of the FBR chairman’s office.
Iqbal is presently serving as a Member Administration and HR at FBR. The revenue authority has issued an official notification regarding the temporary assignment.
