Pakistan Extends Airspace Ban on Indian Aircraft Till Next Month

Pakistan has extended the ban on Indian aircraft using its airspace until November 23, according to an official notification issued on Wednesday.

The Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) confirms that the restriction applies uniformly to Indian-registered aircraft, leased planes, and all Indian airlines and operators.

Pakistan’s airspace ban on Indian flights has been in place since April 24, 2025, amid heightened tensions between the two neighboring countries.

Authorities stated that the extension aims to maintain operational safety and reflects Pakistan’s ongoing aviation policy toward India, in light of the prevailing regional situation.

The restriction means that Indian commercial and chartered flights will continue to avoid Pakistani airspace, leading to longer flight routes and increased operational costs for Indian carriers.

Aviation analysts note that while such restrictions are not uncommon during diplomatic or military standoffs, the extended ban underscores the ongoing strain in bilateral relations between Islamabad and New Delhi.
