Pakistan Announces 5,000 Scholarships for Palestinian Students

Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui announced Pakistan’s commitment to standing with Palestine, offering not just verbal solidarity but practical cooperation in research, innovation, and higher education.

He made these remarks while inaugurating the inaugural Palestine–Pakistan Rectors’ Forum on “Higher Education and Scientific Research in Gaza: The Way Forward,” held at the OIC-COMSTECH Secretariat. Dr. Siddiqui said the forum marks an important step in efforts to rebuild Gaza’s academic landscape and to support educational empowerment for Palestinians.

Calling the initiative an embodiment of collective resolve, the minister emphasized the goal of rebuilding Gaza through knowledge, peace, and progress. He praised the OIC-COMSTECH Standing Committee for Scientific and Technological Cooperation for bringing together academic leaders from both countries to foster greater collaboration in higher education and scientific research.
