The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has decided to install Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) at airports nationwide to provide travelers with smoother cash transactions and modern banking services.
The authority has invited multiple banks to equip terminals with ATMs at key airports including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and others.
The move will benefit both domestic and international travelers by offering currency access, withdrawals and other banking services inside passenger terminals.
Airports such as Peshawar, Quetta, Sukkur, Gwadar, Skardu and Gilgit are also set to receive ATM installations, signaling an effort to modernize airport infrastructure beyond major metro areas.
In recent months, the PAA has launched several modernization projects like the introduction of biometric e-gates at major airports to upgrade travel experience and align with the country’s digital transformation goals.

That airport needs all change from porter to station manager.
Plus expention of arrival and departure lounges immidiately.
It’s not a new facility. ATMs are already available at Major Airports. There was a need to sustain them, since ATM licence is awarded on commercial basis with a monthly fee which is often exorbitant.
Should open more cafe, telco shops and souvenirs shops at the international airport like other airports in other countries
