iQOO has officially launched the iQOO 15, introducing its latest flagship gaming smartphone with significant upgrades over the previous iQOO 13. The device features Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which is a cut below the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, but still a beast.
Design and Display
The iQOO 15 features a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED LTPO display, offering a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth visuals. It supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+, with a peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits. To reduce eye strain, the display includes 2160Hz PWM dimming and DC Dimming.
The phone features an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and is available in four color variants: Track Edition (Black), Legendary Edition (White), Lingyun, and Wilderness (Light Green).
Internals and Software
At the heart of the iQOO 15 is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, combined with the Q3 gaming chip to boost performance during intensive tasks. The phone offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring top-tier speed and capacity. It runs on Android 16 with OriginOS 6 on top, providing a refined and customizable user experience.
Cameras
The rear camera system consists of three 50MP sensors. The primary camera uses a Sony IMX921 sensor with optical image stabilization for steady shots and videos. This is accompanied by a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom based on the Sony IMX882 sensor, and a 50MP ultrawide camera for expansive shots.
On the front, the phone houses a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls. An RGB LED ring surrounds the rear camera module, adding a unique aesthetic touch to the phone’s design.
Battery and Pricing
Powering the device is a 7,000 mAh single-cell silicon-carbon battery. It supports 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. Additional features include smart bypass charging and reverse charging capabilities. Bypass charging lets you power your phone directly through the charging cable, bypassing the battery entirely to avoid heating.
In terms of pricing, the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at approximately $590, while the 12GB RAM and 512GB model costs around $660. The 16GB RAM variant with 256GB storage is available for about $630, and the 16GB RAM and 512GB model comes in at roughly $700.
The top-end version with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is priced at around $770. iQOO has also launched an Honor of Kings 10th Anniversary Collector’s Edition with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage for $770.
