The Supreme Court has officially launched a Public Facilitation Portal, a digital platform designed to improve public access to justice, enhance transparency, and simplify court-related processes.
The newly launched portal, accessible through the Supreme Court’s official website under the “Public Portal” section, serves as a one-stop online interface where citizens can directly engage with the judiciary. It integrates multiple services aimed at minimizing in-person visits, reducing delays, and promoting a more transparent judicial system.
Key Features of the Supreme Court Public Facilitation Portal
- Citizens can now search for case details using a case number, petitioner’s name, or case type. This feature allows immediate access to real-time updates and court records that previously required physical visits to court offices.
- A dedicated Helpline 1818 has been launched to provide instant guidance and procedural help.
- The portal’s Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section breaks down legal terms and court procedures in easy-to-understand language.
- Users can now monitor the status of their applications, including early hearing requests, adjournment pleas, and video link petitions.
- Through the Complaints and Inquiries tab, users can lodge grievances, suggestions, or feedback directly with the Supreme Court.
- A separate Overseas Litigants Portal enables Pakistanis living abroad to securely track their cases, access updates, and communicate with court officials.
- The portal also offers a confidential Anti-Corruption Reporting System.
