Smuggled Tyres Worth Rs. 54 Million Recovered From Warehouse

A joint intelligence-based operation in Karachi led to the recovery of smuggled tyres worth Rs. 54.75 million.

According to official sources, the operation was carried out by the Customs Enforcement Collectorate Karachi, Sindh Rangers, and a federal intelligence agency following credible information about a warehouse in the Old Sabzi Mandi area being used for storing smuggled goods.

During the raid, enforcement teams discovered 3,650 foreign-origin tyres of various brands and sizes, all used or second-hand, illegally stored inside the premises. The recovered tyres, valued at over Rs. 54 million, were seized and shifted to the Customs warehouse for further legal proceedings.
