Pakistani Cricketer Gets Back His Stolen Car Worth Rs. 1.4 Crore

Pakistani cricketer Sohaib Maqsood has finally recovered his car worth Rs. 1.4 crore after falling victim to a major fraud case in Multan. The vehicle had been missing for nearly nine months.

Maqsood shared the good news on social media, expressing deep gratitude to Punjab officials who helped him retrieve his car. He thanked Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and senior police officers for their swift action.

“Truth always wins,” Maqsood wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Huge thanks to RPO Multan and CPO Multan for personally looking into the matter and taking quick action. The Punjab government and Punjab Police stayed in touch with me for the last few days to ensure justice prevailed.”

Earlier this week, the cricketer accused a car showroom owner in Multan of committing a large-scale fraud involving his vehicle.

According to Maqsood, the dealer sold his car without the original documents, which he still possessed, and handed him another vehicle with fake papers, demanding an additional Rs. 7 million.

Sharing his ordeal online, Maqsood had appealed to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Punjab Police, and other authorities to intervene. “If being a national cricketer, I’m helpless, I can only imagine what ordinary citizens must go through,” he wrote. “We must protect people’s hard-earned money from such fraudsters.”

After months of searching, Maqsood said he finally found his original car parked at a private residence in Lahore. When he confronted the person in possession, the man refused to return it, claiming to have purchased it legally.
