The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has directed the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) to launch an online portal allowing citizens to verify the legal status of housing schemes before investing.
A special meeting was held at the NAB Rawalpindi/Islamabad Conference Room, chaired by NAB Rawalpindi Director General Waqar Ahmad Chohan. The session focused on creating a digital platform that would let the public check the approval status of housing projects and individual plots within those schemes.
During the meeting, DG NAB Waqar Ahmad Chohan stressed the need for transparency and easy public access to reliable housing information. He instructed officials from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and RDA to share relevant data so it can be integrated into the upcoming system.
He also announced that another brainstorming session will take place next week to fine-tune the technical and operational framework of the portal.
