Saturday Holiday Announced for Special Education Institutions in Punjab

The Punjab Department of Special Education has announced a new weekly holiday for special education institutions across the province.

According to an official notification, all schools and training centers for persons with disabilities will now remain closed every Saturday in addition to the regular Sunday holiday.

The department has sent copies of the notification to all District Education Officers and Chief Executive Officers to ensure immediate implementation of the new directive.

Officials said the decision was made to provide relief and convenience to both students and staff, allowing them more rest and preparation time. The new policy will take effect starting next week.

With this decision, special education institutions in Punjab will now operate five days a week, marking a change from the previous schedule when classes were held on Saturdays.
