Islamabad Airport to Conduct Emergency Drills

Islamabad International Airport will hold a large-scale emergency preparedness drill on October 30, 2025, in line with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) safety standards.

The exercise aims to evaluate the operational readiness, rapid response, and coordination among various emergency and law enforcement agencies. During the drill, a simulated aircraft accident scenario will be enacted, involving fire and rescue units, medical teams, ambulance services, and security personnel.

Supervised by the Airport Manager, the drill is part of efforts to test the effectiveness of the airport’s Emergency Response Plan, ensuring all departments can respond efficiently and cohesively to any real-life emergency situation.
