Motorola has officially listed the Edge 70 on its website, confirming the complete specifications and design features of the device. Positioned as the global version of the X70 Air, the Edge 70 brings a premium build, clean software, and high-resolution cameras in a remarkably slim body.
Compared to Apple’s iPhone Air, the Motorola Edge 70 brings an enhanced spec sheet in not just battery, but also cooling, cameras, and more.
Design and Display
The Motorola Edge 70 features a sleek design, measuring 160mm tall, 74mm wide, and only 6mm thick, making it one of the thinnest smartphones in its class. It weighs 159 grams, about 20 grams lighter than the Edge 60. The frame is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum, while the front uses Gorilla Glass 7i for protection.
The back panel carries a nylon-textured finish, available in three Pantone-branded colors: Gadget Grey, Lilly Pad, and Bronze Green. The body also meets partial MIL-STD 810H standards for durability.
On the front, the device houses a 6.67-inch pOLED display with a 2712 x 1220 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is Pantone-validated to ensure accurate color reproduction and visual consistency.
Internals and Software
Powering the Edge 70 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The phone runs Android 16, complemented by Motorola’s custom software layer.
Despite its thin frame, the device maintains solid performance and efficiency, offering smooth multitasking and responsive everyday operation.
Camera
The rear camera system includes two 50-megapixel sensors, a 24mm wide-angle (f/1.8) lens, and a 12mm ultrawide (f/2.0) lens with phase detection autofocus. On the front, Motorola has added another 50MP camera for selfies and video calls. The camera setup is designed to capture high-quality images with consistent detail and color accuracy.
Battery and Pricing
Due to its compact design, the Edge 70 houses a 4,800 mAh battery, but Motorola claims it can deliver up to 29 hours of video playback, 66 hours of music, and 8 hours of 4K video recording. The phone supports 68W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
The Motorola Edge 70 is available in a 12GB + 512GB configuration priced at around $923. Buyers will also receive one complimentary accessory, which could be a Moto Tag, Moto Buds Loop, Moto Watch Fit, or a 68W TurboPower charger.
