The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Tourism Authority has required all individuals and businesses involved in the hospitality and tourism sectors to complete online registration and obtain digital licenses. The decision aims to ensure public safety and provide quality services to both citizens and tourists.
According to the directive, hotels, restaurants, travel operators, tour operators, car rental services, and tourist guides must register and secure licenses before starting operations.
Officials said the step will protect tourists from fraud and substandard services while bringing all hospitality businesses under proper regulation. The decision also seeks to make the tourism industry more transparent and accountable.
The Tourism Authority also has the power to set official service rates for different businesses to prevent overpricing. The new digital licensing system will help organize the sector and make tourism services across the province safer and more reliable.
