The Dera police have arrested a woman and seized over seven kilograms of hashish during an operation carried out within the jurisdiction of the Cantonment Police Station.
According to a police spokesperson, the raid was conducted on the orders of District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada and supervised by SP City Ali Hamza Butt and DSP City Circle Hafiz Muhammad Adnan.
Acting on a tip-off, a team led by SHO Cantonment Arslan Khan Gandapur intercepted a suspect near Niazi Adda, behind Mehsud Market, and recovered six packets of hashish weighing around 7.37 kilograms.
The suspect was identified as Mehnaz Bibi, daughter of Nazar Gul Marwat, a resident of Darra Pezu, Lakki Marwat, currently residing in Benazir Colony.
Police have filed a case against the accused and launched further investigations into the matter.
