The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has launched a new online payment system, allowing citizens to pay passport fees within a minute—eliminating the need to stand in long queues at National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) branches.
According to the authority, applicants can now pay their passport fee anytime and from anywhere through the Passport Fee Asaan mobile application or the official web portal Paymaster.com.pk. The initiative aims to simplify the passport application process, offering greater convenience and efficiency to the public.
To make the payment, users must first generate a Payment Slip ID (PSID) through the Passport Fee Asaan app, which is available on both Android and iPhone devices, or through the Paymaster website.
The payment can then be completed using internet banking, ATMs, Easypaisa, or JazzCash by selecting the 1Bill option and entering 999999 before the PSID number.
Once the online payment is processed, applicants can visit their nearest passport office to complete their application without waiting in bank lines.
