Lahore Ship Restaurant’s Location and Completion Date Announced

The Punjab government has announced an ambitious plan to build a “Ship Restaurant” on the Lahore Canal near Jallo as part of efforts to promote tourism and introduce new recreational attractions in the provincial capital.

The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Lahore has already invited tenders for the project, which has received formal approval from the provincial government.

According to PHA Director General Raja Mansoor, the Ship Restaurant project will be completed within the current fiscal year. The facility will be developed on the canal, following the concept of a floating-style restaurant, offering visitors a distinctive dining experience.

The three-storey restaurant will include dedicated kitchen and parking facilities and can accommodate around 200 guests at a time. Entry to the restaurant will be free, while visitors will only pay for meals.

The PHA plans to outsource restaurant management to a reputable food chain to ensure high standards of service and food quality.

DG Raja Mansoor said the project would serve as a milestone for Lahore’s tourism sector, giving citizens a new and scenic venue for leisure and dining along the iconic Lahore Canal.
