Punjab Govt Begins Action Against Famous Housing Society in Lahore

The Punjab government has decided to take strict action against the owner of Lahore’s Theme Park following a major relief operation at the site.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore has written a formal letter to the Director General of the Anti-Corruption Establishment, recommending legal measures against the park’s owner, Khushi Muhammad.

According to the Punjab Housing and Urban Development Department, the DC’s letter was issued under the directives of Secretary Housing Noor-ul-Amin Mengal. It proposes the confiscation of 1,400 kanals of land owned by the park’s proprietor and urges that all expenses incurred during the relief operation be recovered and deposited into the national treasury.

The department stated that the Punjab government is actively pursuing measures to protect citizens’ rights and clamp down on illegal activities. The relief operation at the Theme Park has now been completed successfully.

Following the operation, Secretary Mengal, along with Commissioner Lahore Maryam Khan and DC Syed Moosa Raza, visited the site to review the situation and meet affected residents. He directed officials to address citizens’ complaints immediately, emphasizing that no leniency will be shown to those who deceived innocent people or endangered lives and property.

During the visit, WASA Lahore Managing Director Ghafran Ahmed briefed the secretary on the progress of the ongoing relief efforts and the steps taken to restore normalcy in the area.
