Islamabad Food Authority Sets Registration Deadline for Restaurants

The Islamabad Food Authority (IFA) has announced that all restaurants and food outlets in the city must complete their registration by November 30, ahead of a citywide crackdown on unregistered establishments starting December 1.

Deputy Director Operations of IFA, Dr. Tahira Siddique, told APP on Sunday that the authority will launch strict enforcement operations against restaurants and food points operating without registration.

“Any outlet found running without proper registration after the deadline will not be allowed to continue business,” she said.

Dr. Siddique added that daily inspections will begin from December 1 to verify registration and ensure compliance with food safety standards. Teams have been instructed to seal unregistered outlets and impose heavy fines on violators.

She urged all restaurant and food point owners to complete the registration process by November 30 to avoid penalties and potential closure of their businesses.
