Step-by-Step Guide to Register Your Parrots Before Punjab Govt’s Deadline

The Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department has launched an easy digital process for parrot registration through the Punjab Automated System for Sustainability (PASS) app. The department has made registration mandatory for several parrot species, including Alexandrine, Rose-ringed, Plum-headed, and Grey-headed parrots. The deadline for registration is December 5, and a Rs. 1,000 registration fee applies.

Follow these simple steps to register your parrots online:

Step 1: Download the App or Visit the Website

Step 2: Create an Account

  • Open the app and tap “Register Now.”
  • Enter your name, CNIC number, phone number, and email address.
  • Create a secure password and complete the registration.

 Step 3: Log In to the PASS App

  • After creating your account, sign in using your registered phone number or CNIC and password.

Step 4: Go to the “Wildlife” Section

  • On the main dashboard, tap on the “Wildlife” option.
  • Then, select “Parrot Registration.”

Step 5: Enter Bird Details

Fill out the required details, including:

  • Parrot species (Alexandrine, Rose-ringed, Plum-headed, etc.)
  • Number of parrots
  • Age, color, and other features
  • Upload a clear photo of each parrot

Step 6: Add Owner Information

  • Provide your home address and contact details where the parrots are kept.

Step 7: Pay the Registration Fee

Pay the Rs. 1,000 registration fee online through the app using:

  • Credit/debit card, or
  • Easypaisa/JazzCash

Step 8: Submit Your Application

  • Review all details carefully and press “Submit.”
  • You’ll receive a confirmation message and digital registration certificate within a few days.

Deadline Reminder

  • The last date for registration is December 5, 2025.
  • After the deadline, keeping unregistered parrots will be considered a violation, and legal action may be taken under wildlife protection laws.

 Why Registration Matters

The Wildlife Department says the initiative aims to:

  • Curb illegal trade of exotic birds
  • Protect native species
  • Ensure better monitoring of wildlife in Punjab
