The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has enforced a province-wide ban on all postings and transfers of male and female teachers in the Elementary and Secondary Education Department.
The move follows a high-level departmental review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, aimed at ensuring transparency and stability in the education system.
According to an official notification issued by the Secretary of Elementary and Secondary Education, the restriction will remain in place across all teaching categories. However, the ban does not apply to appointments made through the KP Public Service Commission, promotions approved by the Provincial Selection Board or Departmental Promotion Committee, court-ordered transfers, and teachers currently awaiting postings.
In addition, the department announced plans to introduce a new E-Posting and Transfer Policy to streamline future transfers.
Under the upcoming digital system, a dedicated online portal will be launched to handle all postings and transfers exclusively during the summer and winter vacation periods.
