Two foreign women, one from Bulgaria and the other from Japan, traveled to the Sananwan area of Kot Addu, Pakistan, where they embraced Islam and married local men.
According to reports, both women converted to Islam and held their Nikah ceremonies at Jamia Anwar-ul-Islam Madrassa in Kot Addu.
The Bulgarian woman, Stefanova, accepted Islam and took the name Maryam after marrying Adnan Gormani. Likewise, the Japanese woman, Ishimoto Aki, adopted the Islamic name Dua Fatima and wed Shoaib Gashkori.
After the religious ceremonies, both women returned to their home countries to complete the legal formalities required for official registration of their marriages in Pakistan.
Their lawyer stated that once the documentation process is finalized, both marriages will be formally registered in accordance with Pakistani law.
