These specialized courts will handle cases related to property ownership, illegal possession, and land disputes, ensuring effective protection of overseas Pakistanis’ assets.

Vice Chairperson of the Overseas Pakistanis Commission, Punjab, Barrister Amjad Malik, welcomed the initiative, calling it a reflection of the Punjab government’s commitment to safeguarding the legal and civic rights of overseas citizens.

He said the move would not only expedite pending property cases but also help curb land grabbing and boost foreign investment in the province.

Barrister Malik added that overseas Pakistanis are an integral part of national development, and the government remains committed to ensuring the full protection of their rights.

In a separate development, the Punjab government has approved a new ordinance to fast-track land dispute cases, ensuring that such cases will no longer drag on for years. Under the Punjab Protection of Ownership of Immovable Property Ordinance 2025, all land grab cases will be decided within 90 days by a Dispute Resolution Committee.
