A primary school headmaster in Shahdadpur, district Sanghar, has reportedly died due to alleged police torture, sparking outrage among locals and prompting an official inquiry.
According to the victim’s family, the headmaster was taken into custody by police on Monday evening. They claim he was subjected to severe physical abuse during detention, which led to his death.
Following the incident, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) took immediate notice of the case. Authorities have since suspended four police officials, including the Station House Officer (SHO), while the head clerk has been taken into custody for questioning.
Officials confirmed that a formal investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances leading to the headmaster’s death and to identify those responsible for the alleged custodial violence.
