Sony has announced a new 27-inch PlayStation Gaming Monitor, created specifically for desktop gaming on the PlayStation 5. The monitor includes an integrated hook that doubles as a charging point for the DualSense controller, adding a practical touch to the overall design.
Developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment, the monitor uses a 27-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 2560 × 1440. It supports HDR and features Auto HDR tone mapping, which automatically adjusts HDR settings when connected to the PS5 or PS5 Pro. Sony says this ensures the display produces vivid, well-balanced visuals right from the initial setup.
The monitor supports a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz on the PS5 and PS5 Pro, while compatible PC and Mac systems can push the refresh rate to 240Hz.
It includes VESA mounting support and offers a range of ports, including two HDMI 2.1 connectors, one DisplayPort 1.4, two USB-A ports, and a USB-C port that works with PlayStation Link Adapters or other accessories. Built-in stereo speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack are also part of the package.
Sony plans to make the PlayStation Gaming Monitor available in 2026 across the US and Japan. The company has not yet shared pricing information, and further details are expected closer to launch.
