US President Donald Trump revealed a graphic detail about the death of late Senator Lindsey Graham and how doctors found “a part of Lindsey’s body literally blew up” when they examined him after his death.
Speaking in an interview with RT, Trump said Graham had never expected that to be the cause of his death. He said Graham had previously worried about another medical condition that he believed carried a high risk, but doctors later determined that was not what ultimately killed him.
“A part of Lindsey’s body literally blew up,” Trump said. He added that the actual cause of death was different from what Graham had feared during his lifetime.
Trump described Graham’s death as “very tough” and said the senator’s father had also spoken about the medical issue in the past.
Lindsey Graham died unexpectedly at the age of 71 following a brief illness, according ot his comms director.
An autopsy later determined that Graham suffered a fatal aortic dissection, a medical emergency in which the inner layer of the body’s main artery tears, allowing blood to force its way between the layers of the vessel wall before it ruptures.
The condition was reportedly linked to the arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease, with no indication of foul play. Final confirmation is pending toxicology and microscopic testing
