Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has imposed strict timing restrictions on heavy vehicles entering the federal capital, allowing them only during late-night hours to ensure smoother traffic and enhanced safety for residents.
The authority confirmed that trucks, trailers, and other heavy vehicles will be permitted to enter the city only from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m., while daytime entry will remain fully prohibited.
Chief Traffic Officer Capt. (R) Hamzah Humayun said the ITP has intensified enforcement against traffic violations. He warned that vehicles with black-tinted windows will face stringent legal action and that motorcyclists carrying three passengers will be penalized, citing significant safety risks.
Capt. Humayun added that the department will hold emergency coordination meetings with bus terminal owners and managers to ensure compliance with the new rules and maintain orderly traffic flow.

beleive me this is far more dangerous when they will derive at night.
Good step. Also for black tinted vehicles, the rear window is also important to remain un tinted as it allows a clear vision to driver in th car behind to see if the cars ahead of his next cars are braking and it allows extra time to react in case of braking at high speeds.
Try to strict lane discipline and reserved bikers stick to their lane.in rush hours four lane become six lane which causes more congestion
