New Nubia S2R Leak Shows a Mystery Third Button and a Surprising Camera Choice

Nubia recently introduced the V80 Design in select global markets, and it now appears the company may be preparing another release. Well-known leakster Evan Blass has shared images of a device called the nubia S2R, suggesting that the brand is working on a new budget-friendly smartphone.

The leaked images show the nubia S2R with a single rear camera paired with an LED flash. The front of the phone features a hole-punch camera cutout and noticeably thick bezels around the display.

On the right side, the handset includes the power and volume buttons, along with a third key that could serve as a dedicated camera shutter or a user-assigned shortcut.

The SIM tray appears to sit on the left side of the phone. Blass did not share any further information about the device, so its hardware specifications remain unknown for now.

The newly launched V80 Design follows a style similar to the iPhone 17 Pro from the rear. It features a 6.75-inch LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 5,000 mAh battery, a 50MP rear camera, and the Unisoc T7280 chipset.

These details may offer some context for where the S2R could be positioned in Nubia’s lineup once it becomes official.
