The Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) has announced a complete exemption of the equivalence fee for Palestinian students studying in Pakistan, citing the severe humanitarian crisis in Palestine.
IBCC Executive Director Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah said the decision was made on the special directives of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training to ensure easier access to higher education for Palestinian students.
“The primary purpose of this exemption is to provide immediate relief to Palestinian students and ensure the continuity of their educational activities,” Dr. Mallah said.
He added that in difficult circumstances, education remains the strongest tool for empowering young people and securing their future.
Dr. Mallah reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue offering all possible educational support to Palestinian students despite the ongoing crisis.
An IBCC spokesperson said Pakistan has consistently expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people, and supporting their children’s education remains a national moral responsibility.
